From 1958 until 1988, traveling musicians and comedians would stop by what was known as the “Aspen Room” to entertain guests. This speakeasy spot was a popular destination for locals but was shut down in 1988.
In July of 2020, the current owners decided to restore the Aspen Room to what it was before and reopened the doors to its speakeasy style bar located below the main El Rancho dining room. This casual setting allows you to take a step back in time and serves as an inviting spot for entertainment, food, and drinks. This room was completely renovated from the ground up and features a classic design and architecture. What is now known as the Aspen Bar & Grill is easily accessible from the main El Rancho restaurant. But keep in mind – this spot is generally 21+, so leave the kiddos at home!
Guests are able to enjoy live music and great cocktails without having to go “down the hill” into Denver. And don’t forget – You’ll always find live music at The Aspen Room keeping things lively on weekends! Our craft cocktails feature an “El Rancho” twist on classic cocktails such as old fashioneds, French 75’s and martinis. We also offer our great selection of craft beer, of course. Check out the full menu here.
Stop by the new and improved Aspen Room. We’ll be open until everybody leaves or the snow is falling too hard, whichever comes first.
